Please note: You must attend "live" (in real-time) for the duration of the training to earn CE credits.
After the event, you will receive access to your evaluation and continuing education certificate via a personalized "attendee dashboard" link, hosted on the CE-Go website. This link will be sent to the email account you used to register for the event.
Upon accessing the CE-Go "attendee dashboard", you will be able to:
- Complete evaluation forms for the event
- Download your continuing education certificate in a PDF format

Event Learning Objectives
- Apply critical consciousness to self-reflect and examine one’s own play therapy practice.
- Discuss integration of Liberation Psychology and Play Therapy to enhance intersectional identity and resiliency in child and adolescent clients.
- Discuss therapeutic benefits of adopting a liberatory approach when working with clients of different cultural backgrounds
- Practice strategies to empower clients through celebration of intersectional identity
- Identify and assess impacts of racial stress and trauma in play therapy clients.
- Identify the neurobiological benefits and effectives of Play Therapy as a treatment for trauma symptoms and disorders.
- Describe strategies for communicating with parents about trauma themes and play.
- Differentiate developmentally appropriate play from trauma play and therapeutic play.

Refund Policy
Registration cancellations must be submitted to NCAPT in writing by February 27, 2025.
For all refunds, registrants will be refunded the cost of the conference minus a $25 administrative charge if request is received by February 27, 2025. Registrations may be transferred to another person without penalty only if original registrant notifies NCAPT in writing by February 27, 2025. We cannot provide refunds of registration fees after February 27, 2025

Continuing Education credits apply towards mental health licensure and apply towards acquiring or maintaining a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential. The Association for Play Therapy sets the credentialing standards for Play Therapists and approves applications.
